Lesson 1: Welcome and Introduction
Welcome to The Enneagram of Christlike Virtues! We’re thrilled you’re here. Whether this is your first encounter with the Enneagram or you’ve been exploring it for years, our prayer is that this course will offer fresh insights and practical tools for your spiritual journey.
At Mosaic Formation, we believe spiritual formation is not primarily about self-improvement. It’s about being transformed by God’s love into the likeness of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit.
What This Course is About
The Enneagram is often used as a personality tool. Helpful as that can be, our focus is different. The Enneagram of Christlike Virtues (ECV) invites you to shift the question from:
“What’s my number?”
to
“What is the Holy Spirit forming in me?”
We’ll explore a biblical metaphor—the Garden of the Soul—as a way of seeing how God nurtures fruit, uproots weeds, and cultivates trust.
Course Roadmap

- Module 1: Foundations of the Enneagram of Christlike Virtues
- Learn about the history of the Enneagram and the shift from personality types to Christlike virtues.
- Discover the Garden of the Soul metaphor and its five components.
- Module 2: Understanding Our Spiritual Garden
- Explore nine deadly sins (weeds) and how they hinder our spiritual life.
- Reflect on nine Christlike virtues (fruits) and how they reveal the character of Jesus.
- Use the WEPSS profile to map your unique garden and identify areas of growth.
- Module 3: Nurturing the Seeds
- Explore your God-given gifts and abilities (seeds) and how to cultivate them for God’s glory.
- Discover how seed combinations reveal your unique gifts and strengths.
- Module 4: Tending to the Weeds
- Examine the manifestations of deadly sins (weed shoots) and their roots (attachments and false beliefs).
- Practice uprooting weeds through prayers of detachment and Scripture meditation.
- Module 5: Deepening Trust and Bearing Fruit
- Deepen trust in God through the four waters of prayer.
- Practice spiritual disciplines (fertilizers) that nourish seeds and curb weeds.
- Reflect on the journey of spiritual formation and live as a flourishing garden.

- Spiritual practices to deepen your trust in God
This isn't about rushing to fix yourself. It's about walking with God, one step at a time, trusting His pace.
